The other day, I went to Design Festa 60, commonly known as Desa Festa, one of the largest art events in Asia.
I had heard rumors about it, but I was still blown away by the scale of it all.
The first thing that impressed me was how many people there were! It's no wonder people come from all over Japan, and even the world. There were a lot of foreigners there, and I saw people dressed in unique costumes, like cosplayers.
I especially enjoyed seeing people walking around with headgear covering their entire bodies, which gave me a slightly extraordinary feeling.
The best part of this event is being able to buy the works you like on the spot.
As I walked around the large venue, I saw many unique booths.
Some people were purchasing items while talking to the artists at the booths.
There was also a live painting demonstration at the venue. It was very impressive to see the artists painting on the wall, one stroke at a time.
It looked like it would still take some time to finish, but it was fun to see the process of the colors and shapes gradually taking shape.
The real joy of live painting is being able to look at the unfinished piece while imagining what it will become. If time had allowed, I would have loved to see the moment it was completed.
The energetic atmosphere that permeated the entire venue was also very impressive. I felt the passion of each booth, wanting to give shape to what they love and communicate it, and it even energized me.
Design Festa is a rare opportunity to meet many works and creators in person at once. It was an event that gave me a lot of inspiration and new discoveries. It was such a wonderful experience that I want to come back again next time.
